  • According to a report by Counterpoint in the beginning of this month, OnePlus has named the tag of the premium smartphone brand overtaking Apple. Apple has cut its Quarterly Cell Forecast. This is the first time in the past 15 years that Apple's cell forecasts have been cut. Last year Apple cut 30 to 35 percent of shipments in India. Which has an impact on Apple's distribution strategy (distribution strategy).

  • According to other research institute, IPDS IDC, by the first half of 2017, Apple was cutting prices of its old models. Also offer many offers to attract customers. At one time iPhones started to be available between 20 to 25 thousand rupees. The company is no longer reducing the price of its iPhones because of its impact on the brand's positioning.

  • The new models of iPhoneX have been priced around 1 lakh or more, due to which OnePlus smartphones demand has increased in users. According to IDC India report, the smartphone market accounts for about 80 percent of the Indian smartphone market. The price of these smartphones is between Rs 8,000 and Rs 12,000. Apple's share of the Indian market was 2.5 percent in September 2017, down 1.5 percent from October 2018.

  • According to experts, the picture of the premium smartphone market has changed since OnePlus has entered the Indian market. OnePlus created a strategy to launch two of its smartphones in India in one year, which has the effect of premium smartphones on Apple and Samsung. In the last 3 years, the company has kept at least Rs 3,500 in the price of each new launch and the old model. In such a case, Apple will have to cut 10-15 per cent of the cost of its iPhone if its existence is to be saved in India.

Last year, only 1.7 million (17 lakh) devices were sold, which is roughly half of 3.2 million (3.2 million) of 2017. Just a year, such a big difference in iPhone sales is a matter of concern for the company.
